Most Cited Paper Award 2021

2024-12-24

The Most Cited Paper Award for Journal of Construction (Revista de la Construcción) 2021 aims to honor and acknowledge the effort of the author(s) of outstanding papers (shall not exceed two papers) in both categories civil engineering and construction and building technology research, indexed in the Web of Science (WoS)/Science Citation Index Expanded.

Nomination and selection procedures

The eligible papers could be either from (i) volume 20, issue (1), year 2021; (ii) volume 20, issue (2), year 2021; or (iii) volume 20, issue (3), year 2021. Understanding that age/time of publication should be considered for normalization due to older papers usually tend to accrue more citations, a normalization score has been calculated depending on the time that the issue (i.e., 1, 2, 3) for volume 20, was released in 2021.

The preselected papers are:

  • Jenifer, J. V., and Brindha, D. (2021). Development of hybrid steel-basalt fiber reinforced concrete-in aspects of flexure, fracture and microstructure. Revista de la construcción, 20(1), 62-90. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/RDLC.20.1.62

  • Kaya, M., and Köksal, F. (2021). Influences of high temperature on mechanical properties of fly ash based geopolymer mortars reinforced with PVA fiber. Revista de la construcción, 20(2), 393-406. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/RDLC.20.2.393

  • Hassan Nensok, M., Othuman Mydin, M. A., and Awang, H. (2021). Optimization of mechanical properties of cellular lightweight concrete with alkali treated banana fiber. Revista de la construcción, 20(3), 491-511. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/RDLC.20.3.491

  • Akboga Kale, Õ. (2021). Characteristic analysis and prevention strategy of trench collapse accidents in the US, 1995-2020. Revista de la construcción, 20(3), 617-628. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/RDLC.20.3.617

Most cited paper award 2021:

The “Revista de la Construccion-Most Cited Paper Award 2021” has been granted to the article “Influences of high temperature on mechanical properties of fly ash based geopolymer mortars reinforced with PVA fiber” (http://dx.doi.org/10.7764/RDLC.20.2.393) presented by Professors Mehmet Kaya, and Fuat Koksal.

We congratulate these research teams for their remarkable contributions to our journal and we encourage our community to submit research manuscripts (construction and building technologies and civil engineering).
