La Evolución de la Fertilidad en el Mundo (1970-2000)

Se analiza la evolución de la fertilidad en eñ mundo durante el último tercio de siglo XX, tanto a nivel de continente como de regiones de la Tierra, con el propósito de establecer la relación entre esta evolución y la situación social y económica de los países. Se concluye que independientemente de la disminución que se observa en la fertilidad desde principios de los años '70 a nivel mundial , las causas que explican este comportamiento son muy diversas, según se trate de países desarrllados o en desarrllo.
