Abstract
This paper is a synchronic/diachronic analysis of a spanish-european traditional folk tale, identified by the number 1030 in the Aarne- Thompson International Catalog. Its structural motiv deals with the deceitful partition of the crop. The material to be analyzed derives from three versions of the tale, collected from the oral tradition of spanish speaking people of the Araucanía región in the South of Chile.
