The hypothesis is organizing a series of iconographic and literary background, complemented by theoretical background about the iconographic identification of the botanical motif, which has a great relevance for the interpretation of the artwork, and that has a close relation to the ancient thought and the recognition of emerging gender issues in Renaissance art.
