On Raul Ruiz’s Time Regained: Proust resistances (and Marcel’s Silenced Voice)

Abstract
This article presents a comparative analysis of Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time and the fi lmic version by Raul Ruiz, Time Regained, based on the novel’s last volume but with an integral view of the whole text. Therefore, this article is placed in the fi eld of comparative studies in literature and cinema, and it is based in a narratologic point of view in order to accurately study the proper resistances of the novel (specially the narrative structures) and the solutions offered by the mentioned fi lm.
