The Construction of Cannon and the Matter of Lierary Value
Main Article Content
Abstract
The following essay raises the premise that in every literary study there’s the question of value, one way or another. From that point, and focusing in the criticism and some problems that are attached to it, it is developed a brief panoramic view on the subject of judgment and «literary value», beginning from some precepts found in New Criticism, and passing, among others, through some refl ections of Wayne Booth until arriving to Harold Bloom, examining and tensioning his concept of Canon.
