Copy or Creation. Postmodernity from fi lms by Michelangelo Antonioni and Brian de Palma

Abstract
Using two movies as an excuse, Blow up by Michelangelo Antonioni and Blow-out by Brian de Palm, this article will approach different postmodern theories according to the impact of new technologies on the metaphysical and modern distinction between essence and appearance. In the light of both fi lms, the concepts of «simulation» and «simulacra» will be studied, as well as the budgets of «weak thought» in relation to the technological disappearance of reality.
