La identidad en la Lira Popular

Abstract

The current article states that La Lira Popular is the voice of a community, which as it is written becomes conscious of and takes possession of its own self. In this sense, it is a border space, a 'space between', where a series of coincidences and clashes take place. There is no conscience of identity without this poetic word. The poet is a farmer who does not want to stop being a farmer but he is not just a farmer any longer. He is a citizen. He no longer is spoken word but written word, no longer a community but individual. Notwithstanding, the Lira popular gives account of a plural subject who is seeking to build a project: generate it and carry it out.
