Abstract
The aim of the present work is to realize the hermeneutical analysis of symbolism: writing down slogans in the Lourdes Grot of Santiago. It tries to comprehend the meaning of these actions and criticize the general tendency, represented by the media, to interpret them as 'satanic graffiti'. Beyond those claims, it is necessary to pay attention to the challenge these actions pose to the media, to the pastoral action of the Catholic Church and to young people movements.
