Abstract
In this essay, the author attempts an interpretation of the work of art status within the process of thoroughly aesthetization of reality, conceived as the salient feature of contemporaneity that is relevant for art. Correspondingly with this interpretation, he discusses also the situation of critical discourse in such a context.
