Abstract
This essay aims to portray some of the main trends in recent Chilean poetry, namely the last fifteen years. It focuses on the relationship between a neoliberal economic system and poetic works of art; our thesis asserts the profound influence (aesthetic and ideologically) such a system has had upon contemporary Chilean poets, an influence that has modified the entire literary scene.
