¿Integración o inserción? Evolución de la localización residencial del inmigrante en dos áreas metropolitanas del sur de Europa

The analysis of the residential changes of the migrant population is essential at the time of understand the process of residential segregation at the metropolitan level. Even, according to spatial assimilation model, the choice of neighborhood it can be considered an indicator of the degree of integration into the host society. Starting from a spatial analysis of residential changes of inmigrant on two metropolitan areas of Andalusia, Málaga y Almería over the period 2003-2013, this paper analyzes the different models of residential incorporation to the host society and the influence of socio-territorial component. The results show the prevalence of insertion as a model for incorporation into the city. Insertion to the being merely residential often leads to territorial stigmatization of neighborhoods where it concentrates the inmigrant making it difficult their proper integration and full integration into the host society.
