Abstract

One of the methods to represent the population density is the isopleth. lts major advantage is that the spatial population distribution can be shown in a simplified picture. This system applied to Chile, gives a particular structure to each of the 13 regions o[ the country; it is associated to the density o[ their respectives "comunas". From the map analysis, it is possible to distinguish particular density patterns.
