Precipitation datafromfive locations on Robinson Crusoe lsland are presentedfor a period in winter 1992. Mountain slopes
at 400 m elevation received approximately twice the precipitation of the standard meteorological station of Bahfa
Cumberland (B. C.). The semiarid southeast sector of the island received about one half the precipitation of the B.C. station
over a three week periodo A high elevation pass (580 m). in a region of complex winds. received similar precipitation
amounts to B. C.
