The map of the world in 1997

Abstract

One of the preoccupations of the political geographers is keep up-to-date the Political Map of the World, the one which represents the international order. In the last decade several studious assert the existente of a new world order, based almost exclusively on the case of Germany, the extinction of the Soviet Union or the alteradoras that provoked both political proceses in the rest of the European states. Others, considering the economic variables, draw the search of the hegemony by three potsindustrial poles and affluent societies: Western Europe, United States of America and their current *AFTA area, and the region headed by Japan in the Far East. The article expreses the proposition of exploring in the sature of the world political space, observing other facts, those which condition the properties or attributes of the political space. This facilitates to approach with greater extent and precision the most realistic situation of the condition of the political map world in 1997. For case, methodology includes the contemporary conflicts, to trigger it of the Peacekeepers of the United *ations, the disputes by territories, the shared resources between states, the maritinie limits, the economic organizations of the states, the ethnic problems, the religious problems and the participation of each state in the international diversity.
