Abstract

The intention of the contribution is the systematization of the humanistic model of geographic thought, first to discuss the linguistic problem  between humanistic humanist and like humanism expressions; to approach of general form the qualitative approaches and humanists in geography, including the humanistic point of view; to concentrate itself in the conformation of the humanistic approach developed by the geographers Anglo-Americans; to watch the connections with the phenomenology and the existencialism; to explore in the humanistic meaning of? "place", including a revision of the notion of place in the regional tradition; to investigate in the entailments of humanistic geography with cultural geography and, finally, to examine the connections between humanistic geography and environmental geography.
