Abstract
The intention of this work is, beyond the limited concept of art managed by the people, to recognize daily environments where artists' creation is present but unseen, in spaces not especially devoted but necessarily evident. And this, whit a double purpose: to recover the multiple functions that, in an implicit or explicit way, art can play in society, and also to widen the area concerning the perception and study of the artistic phenomenon. The work also tells about sorne characteristics of art teaching at grade level, which historically have contributed to conduce to the formation or deforma tion of attitudes with reference to perception that, in general terms, we have about the artistic phenomenon in our Chilean society. Finally, it is pointed out the necessity of recovering the role that the aesthetic teaching can play to train senses, and in this way to grant a more natural and daily relationship with art.
